The Pittsburgh Marathaon is a foot race (known as marathon) covering about 2.62 miles(approx 42.16 km) held in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania In the United States.The race was held annually from 1985 to 2003 and was revived in 2009 as the “Dick’s Sporting Goods Piitsburgh Marathon”.The race generally takes place on the first Sunday of May.
Pittsburgh Marathaon Results In the past,the course of the race wound through the hilly topography of the city and usually started at the intersecting point of Butler Street and Baker Way (later the starting positions were chaged many-a-times),and ended at Point State Park in Downtown Pittsburgh.After its reloading in 2009,the starting point was changed to Smallman Street and the finishing point to David Lawrence Convention Center.The Piitsburgh Marathon boasts of the distinction of hosting the United States Olympic Marathon Trials for men in 2000 and the US Olympic trials for women in 1988.
